Job Description

Our client is a long established asbestos and environmental consultancies, operating multiple offices throughout the UK and working internationally.


They are currently seeking an experienced Regional Manager to join their growing Glasgow based team.


The successful applicant must posses;


  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Relevant industry competence qualification(s) i.e. CCP (Asbestos) or working towards this qualification
  • In house, or external training, to a standard to satisfy any inspection/testing activities, having had practical experience of surveying and analytical air monitoring.
  • Demonstrable experience of client liaison and provision of consultancy services
  • Demonstrates managerial judgement, provides leadership and showing integrity at all times
  • Is professional and customer focused
  • Is flexible and able to adapt to a changing work environment


Your primary duties will include;


  • The day to day running of the regional office, in conjunction with the Operations Manager, to ensure that targets are achieved
  • To take initiative  with strategic planning and financial forecasting, maintaining the sales pipeline to achieve optimisation of the regional workforce and enabling  regional growth
  • Financial Management of the regional office to include budgeting, quoting, invoicing and adherence to credit control procedures
  • Managing and developing existing commercial relationships with key customers, representing the company in a management capacity to ensure project  / contract reviews are completed to the required standard
  • Regular coordination with commercial team to ensure regional sales and business development initiatives are integrated within the region
  • Liaise with the Operations Director to ensure financial viability of the region by controlling costs and achieving continuing profit levels.  Close liaison with, and management of, the Operations Manager to ascertain adequacy of resources
  • To ensure continued compliance with the companies Business Management Quality System, investigating incidents (near miss, accidents etc) and customer complaints or queries (non-conformances) where required
  • To report regularly with the Operations Director on regional developments and performance
